I'm Studying Electronics Engineering majoring in IoT (Internet of Things) at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), and am also currently working as an Electronics Engineer in industry. I have a passion for new & emerging technologies and how they can be applied to solve existing and upcoming problems. I am particularily interested in Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) related technology and it's further development, as well as the development of new products that can provide safety, convenience and more to the consumer through the Internet of Things (IoT) and general software development, particularily in the 3D space.
As an electronics engineer, I study the practical application of combining the fields of electrical and software engineering, a combination which allows new devices to be smarter, more efficient, and more capable than they would be otherwise. I have plenty of previous experience with programming in many different languages (see skills for details) and have applied these skills in the various larger scale personal projects I have worked on, such as the smart fridge system I developed and my mobile application Boat Master (see projects and experience for details).
My Communication & Teamwork skills are emphasised through my various communication with customers for Boat Master, as well as my ideas being clearly evaluated and utilised in various group projects at UTS where I received recieved an average of 4/4 for each category of teamwork in SPARKPlus, where team members rate themselves and each other on their contribution and teamwork when working on the project.
Highlighted through the design of this website, as well as the design and creativity expressed through the Flat Wombat Studios website, the Boat Master simulation app, and the E.R.I.C Smart Fridge system I have developed over the last few years. These projects highlight my graphic design skills as well as my general design skills as demonstrated in the Gameplay of Boat Master and the Physical design of the Smart Fridge System.
I manage and develop updates for a mobile app, while maintaining a full time degree in engineering (5 subjects with 27 units this semester) as well as a casual job. Managing these while maintaining all other important parts of life has ensured that I have developed effective organisation and time management skills. I have never missed an assignment or assessment at university.
I regularly help out everyone I can utilising the skills I have developed throughout my previous education and experiences. I do this regularly as part of the makerspace program at the school where I work, helping students to learn new concepts in relation to programming, solidworks, 3D printing and more. I will also try to help and explain concepts to fellow university students if they need help in relation to their subjects or studies.
